Key Requirements for Registration:
- Valid MC/MX or USDOT Number
- Your company must provide a valid MC/MX or USDOT number to begin the registration process.
- If you are an intrastate carrier without a USDOT number, you may use your applicable state registration number.
- CVOR Level 2
- SMS (US)
Authorized Employee Registration
The registration process, including acceptance of Sandy Bay Freight’s Broker-Carrier Agreement, must be completed by an employee authorized to enter your company into legally binding transportation agreements.
Tax Identification Number (TIN)
A valid Tax Identification Number (TIN) and federal tax information must be provided electronically during the registration process.
Insurance Requirements
Carriers must submit a Certificate of Insurance from their insurance provider that meets the following minimum coverage requirements:
- General Liability: $2,000,000
- Auto Liability/BIPD: $2,000,000
- Workers’ Compensation: Statutory Limits (Clearance Certificate Required)
- Cargo: $250,000
- Sandy Freight must be named on all insurance certificates.
If your insurance provider does not already have a copy of your certificate on file, we will request it directly.
